EU/EEA Professional Qualifications – Equivalence Procedure
If a specific professional qualification cannot be recognised under the Austrian EU/EEA Recognition Ordinance, you may apply for a procedure (so-called Gleichhaltungsverfahren) to establish that it shall be regarded as an equivalent professional qualification.
EU/EEA Professional Qualifications – Recognition Procedure
Recognition of a professional qualification which is listed in the Austrian EU/EEA Recognition Ordinance (EU/EWR- Anerkennungsverordnung)
Notification of services
EU/EEA nationals who are established, and legally pursue a business or trade, in any other EU/EEA Member State may, on a temporary and occasional basis, pursue such business or trade in Austria on the same conditions as Austrians. If the business or trade is a regulated business or trade, notification is required before the activity is started.
Trade Registration
Starting any independent activity that is subject to the Austrian Business and Trade Code must be notified to the competent business and trade authority at the location of the business. In case of a regulated business or trade, evidence of competence is also required. This may be provided, for instance, by way of the formal recognition of the business or trade in question or by way of a decision stating that the business or trade in question shall be treated as a regulated business or trade.
